Terms
Terms of sale and use
These are the terms you agree to when you buy or use Draftpin. They are written to be read rather than to be survived.
Last updated 7 September 2026.
Who you are dealing with
Draftpin is supplied by Draftpin.net, at Suite Ra01, 195-197 Wood Street, London E17 3NU, England. Contact: george@hgmartist.net.
Payment is taken by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record. Your card statement will show LINK.COM followed by Draftpin rather than our name.
Draftpin.net is a trading name. If you want the name of the person behind it, for a complaint, a dispute or anything else, email and ask and it will be sent to you in writing. You do not have to give a reason.
What the licence gives you
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Draftpin. The licence is per person, not per machine: use it on any computer you own or control, for your own use, as many as you like.
A one-off licence does not expire. A subscription licence lasts as long as the subscription is paid, plus a short grace period so a failed card does not lock you out the same afternoon.
The free tier is a complete product, not a trial. It does not expire, it is not time limited, and nothing you make with it stops working if you never pay.
What it does not allow
Do not share, resell, sublicense or publish your licence key. Do not work around the licence check. Do not remove notices from the software.
Nothing here restricts anything the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 allows you to do, including decompiling for interoperability and observing, studying or testing how the software works. A term that tried to would be void, so there is no point in writing one.
What you are responsible for
You are responsible for how you use Draftpin. It uses a facility Apple builds into iOS for developers, and it changes only what your own iPhone reports to apps running on it. It does not touch anyone else's device and it does not change where you actually are.
You must not use it to commit an offence, to defraud anyone, to mislead a court, an employer, an insurer or a public authority, to break the terms of a service you use, or in any way that affects anyone's safety. Some services prohibit changing your reported location and may suspend accounts that do. That is between you and them.
We do not know what you use it for. The application does not send us the locations you set, so we could not know. If we do become aware that a licence is being used unlawfully, we may revoke it.
Subscriptions
A subscription renews automatically each month at the price you signed up at, until you cancel. Cancel at any time and it stops at the end of the period you have already paid for. If you signed up online you can cancel online, in one step. We will remind you before each renewal.
If we change the price we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before it takes effect. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
Cancelling and refunds
Set out in full on the refunds and cancellation page, which forms part of these terms. In short: ask within 14 days and you get your money back, and your legal rights sit on top of that.
A licence is granted in exchange for the price. If the price is refunded, reversed or charged back, the licence ends on that date and the key stops verifying. Draftpin returns to the free tier and keeps working.
Your rights, which we cannot remove
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer. If any part of this page would reduce them, that part does not apply to you.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 the software must be of satisfactory quality, fit for any purpose you told us about, and as described. We cannot exclude that and are not trying to. If Draftpin damages your device or your files and that would not have happened had we taken reasonable care, you are entitled to a repair or compensation, and that right cannot be excluded either.
Warranty and liability
Beyond the rights above, Draftpin is provided as it is. We do not promise it is free of faults, that it will work with every iPhone or every version of iOS, or that Apple will not change something that breaks it.
Where the law allows us to limit our liability, it is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and thirty pounds. We do not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not permit us to limit.
If you are buying as a business rather than as a consumer, the consumer protections above do not apply to you, and we exclude liability for loss of profit, loss of data and indirect or consequential loss, so far as is reasonable.
Other people's software
Draftpin includes open source components, each under its own licence. The notices ship with the application. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors. Draftpin is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Apple Inc.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer living in the UK or the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of where you live, and you can bring proceedings in your local courts. That is your right and we are not asking you to give it up.
Changes
We may change these terms for future purchases. A change never applies retrospectively to a licence you have already bought. The date at the top tells you which version you are reading.
